Logo Design
The logos at right are a broad selection from our portfolio.
Designing a logo
Designing a logo should be an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for client and designer. This is important because ideas and direction need to be found.
The design process is creative and analytical involving the designer and client in research, discussion and absorbtion in the subject. The experience of this process is very important to the final outcome. Take my next example as a case in point:
Case study: Café Delices
The Café Délices logo (see logo at right) came about after a meeting involving a lot of consumption of the "Four C's" - Cakes, Coffees, Crépes and Chocolates, all made in-house.
We made a fine mess of the French chefs best and in the process discovered what made the experience of their cafe unique - their hospitality and down-to-earth sense of fun, backed up by their high-standards European training and quality product.
The solution was something elegant with references to the tradition of French cafés and dining, but which suggested a relaxed modern experience.
Visual Identity
A logo design is usually undertaken in the broader process of designing a Visual Identity or Brand, of which a logo is a major component.
In the same way that a logo needs to capture the attention of the right people and express the values of the company or organisation, so does the entire suite of marketing and communications materials.
