The Batik Art Workshop returns for a second session. The last session was a great success with some amazing batik works evolving into the finished pieces - colourful and unique bags.

Explore the styles and history of traditional and contemporary batik. Batik is a process of using hot wax and dyes to create stunning artworks.
Experiment with batik application and dying processes to create your uniquely designed artwork on fabric. Using a variety of forms and images as stimulus Sally will guide you through the batik techniques, and help to develop and extend your understanding of colour relationships and pattern making. This class is suitable for complete beginners and more experienced artists. Just bring your enthusiasm!
This workshop is primarily for adults but if you have a child 14 + that would like to participate they are more than welcome.
What you will need:
An apron or wear old clothing as we will be using dyes
Lunch - we will be taking a short lunch break during the day (morning tea is provided)
