Hi arty friends,
I have had quite a few enquiries with regards to my art workshops for adults and children. I have been taking time away from the studio and enjoying motherhood and the creativity that comes with it (as well as working on another unit for the Masters of Art Therapy course), and will be returning with classes from June/July 2011.

If you would like to be on my workshop mailing list please email me with your interest and the type of workshop you might like to take part in. Most of the workshops will take place on weekends held here in my home studio.

Keep warm, Sally

A great day with 19 lawyers from Kennedys in Sydney all in need of some spontaneous creativity. The art workshop was held at Q Station in Manly, Sydney. Surrounded by amazing views of the harbour, cliff tops and beyond it made the perfect spot to begin the creative process. The workshop was a developed specifically for the group including fun warm-up drawing exercises that caused a bit of a giggle and painting on canvases all of which will be displayed back in the office.

If you would like to access the creative thinking in your staff please feel free to get in touch and book a workshop. Visit the art workshops website for ideas and information or contact Sally directly to discuss your needs.

The Batik Art Workshop returns for a second session. The last session was a great success with some amazing batik works evolving into the finished pieces - colourful and unique bags.

Sunday 23rd May 2010

Explore the styles and history of traditional and contemporary batik. Batik is a process of using hot wax and dyes to create stunning artworks.

Experiment with batik application and dying processes to create your uniquely designed artwork on fabric. Using a variety of forms and images as stimulus Sally will guide you through the batik techniques, and help to develop and extend your understanding of colour relationships and pattern making. This class is suitable for complete beginners and more experienced artists. Just bring your enthusiasm!

This workshop is primarily for adults but if you have a child 14 + that would like to participate they are more than welcome.
