WORKSHOP:

Wire Portraits

Alexander Calder is the famous inventor of the mobile; his artworks and sculptures are a great inspiration from which your students can create their own wire portraits.

Your students will develop an understanding of the proportions of the face through a series of fun filled learning activities. Using these skills they will manipulate the wire to create successful artworks.

This workshop can be extended to an Artist in Residence program.
