WORKSHOP:

Reuse, Recycle, Recreate

Squash, break, twist, fold, tie and cut. Explore a variety materials to create sculptures whilst being made aware of our environment and the importance to reuse and recycle.

Your students will be introduced to artists who use found objects such as old thongs and cooking pots to create artworks.

The question 'What is sculpture?' will be answered through the use of visual stimulus and questions. With a greater understanding of sculpture participants will create a sculpture of their own.

Some themes we might use are; the ocean, habitats, space and the earth.

Teacher notes are provided.

Duration: 1 day or 2 hour workshop

Level: All ages
