Mask Making art workshop

WORKSHOP:

Mask Making

Explore different cultures through the traditional artform of mask making.

Choose a theme for your school project focussing on cultural masks or mood masks exploring facial expressions and feelings. Mask making is introduced through the use of imagery and music which will enthuse and inspire.

Participants will make self portraits developing their observational skills and will consider the relationship between features to create their mask. Exaggerated features and colour are used to express the mood of each character.
